Principal
Jeff Prewitt became the principal of Southside High School in 2021. In this role, he plays a vital part in shaping the school’s vision and creating a positive environment that encourages students to thrive. His dedication to fostering a culture of belonging and growth is evident in his commitment to helping every student succeed academically and personally.
Before stepping into the role of principal, Mr. Prewitt served as an assistant principal at Southside for three years. Prior to that, he was the assistant principal at Ramsey Middle School and worked as a physical education instructor and coach within the district. He is passionate about helping students reach their full potential and strives to create a supportive atmosphere where they feel valued and empowered to achieve their goals.
Mr. Prewitt holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University, along with a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Henderson State University. His expertise in both leadership and education enables him to effectively guide Southside High School, using his experience to benefit students, teachers, and the school community as a whole.

Rachael Foster
Rachael Foster serves as the Class of 2025 Assistant Principal at Southside High School. Before her current role, Ms. Foster held several positions within Fort Smith Public Schools, including secondary English teacher and elementary grade-level teacher. Her diverse teaching experience has equipped her with valuable insights into building strong relationships with students and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Jeff Mosby serves as the Assistant Principal for 11th grade at Southside High School. Before taking on this role, he held various positions within Fort Smith Public Schools including Technology Integration Specialist and secondary Science teacher. His diverse professional background enables him to support both educators and students effectively in today's rapidly changing educational environment.

Susanna Post
Susanna Post serves as the Assistant Principal for the Class of 2027 at Southside High School. In 2021, she was honored as the Arkansas Teacher of the Year. She believes that building strong relationships is crucial to student success and strives to connect students with content in a meaningful way to help them realize their potential.
Matt Coleman
Matt Coleman
Matt Coleman serves as the Assistant Principal for 9th grade at Southside High School. Before joining Southside, he spent 21 years in the Ozark Public School District, where he served in roles such as building principal, teacher, coach, and Dean of Students. His extensive background in both teaching and administration provides valuable insights that enhance his ability to support students and staff effectively.
Justin Fontenot
Justin Fontenot
Justin Fontenot currently serves as the Dean of Students at Southside High School. He took on the newly created role in 2023 after over 15 years with Fort Smith Public Schools. His extensive teaching and administrative experience empower him to effectively build relationships with students and serve as a key figure in maintaining discipline within the school.
